A character animator with over a decade of experience, Leif Jeffers has been an integral part of bringing some of film’s most beloved characters to life on the silver screen. He currently works at Walt Disney Animation Studios , alongside the industry's  brightest talents. He previously worked at DreamWorks Animation, alongside the industry’s brightest talents on films such as How to Train Your Dragon and its sequel, as well as Puss in Boots and Rise of the Guardians. Prior to his time at DreamWorks, Leif Jeffers worked as a character animator and lead at Blue Sky Studios, his credits including Ice Age: The Meltdown and Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Horton Hears a Who!




Kristen Murtha moved to Los Angeles from Boston in 2008 to pursue her love of storytelling. She has worked in production on two major animated features at DreamWorks Animation, Golden Globe Nominee Rise of the Guardians and Golden Globe Winner and Academy Award Nominee How to Train Your Dragon 2. In addition to her work in animation, Kristen has produced content across multiple platforms that has been seen by international and online audiences alike. Her credits include three short films for HBO's Project Greenlight and music videos for Hoodie Allen and Watsky,  as well as "The Sleepover", a 2012 short that was the official selection at multiple festivals across the country, a Vimeo Staff Pick and the winner of The Cabin in the Woods Lionsgate contest. She is currently in production on her first independent feature as well as in post-production on two short films.

IAN TAKAHASHI – Cinematographer
Born in the Napa Valley, Ian Takahashi interned under Francis Ford Coppola and found him as a mentor in visual storytelling. After graduating college, Takahashi trained under Academy Award-winning John Toll, ASC (Legends of the Fall, Braveheart) and then began working as a Camera Assistant before moving up to Operator and DP. He shot his first feature for Bobcat Goldthwait which was an Official Selection at Sundance, Toronto and London film festivals as well as playing in theaters worldwide. Takahashi’s newer work includes campaigns for Nike, Sony, and TJ Maxx, music videos for Selena Gomez and Katy Perry, and television shows Scandal, Pretty Little Liars, and Masters of Sex. He was also the Operator and Aerial DP for Roman Coppola’s last feature A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III with Charlie Sheen and Bill Murray, as well as executing extensive second unit and VFX work for Director of Photography Mihai Malaimare Jr. (The Master, Walk Among Tombstones, Home).

GEOFF FLINT – Production Designer
A Los Angeles native and USC graduate, Geoff Flint’s passion for production design has earned his reputation as “the hardest working man in show business.” With a skill set that includes set design illustration to construction, Flint is able to conceptualize and build any imaginable universe. While still in college, Flint designed his first feature Jesus Rides Shotgun for Director Burke Roberts in 1995. Since then, he has gone onto a storied career as a Production Designer and Art Director, working in features, shorts, television, music videos and commercials. Some of Flint’s credits include The Rambler, Coldwater, American Romance and The Exquisite Tenderness of Santa Rosa de Lima.

Leighton Hickman is a Visual Development Artist, Illustrator, Painter, teacher and mentor. He has spent the bulk of his career developing animated features for DreamWorks Animation where he worked extensively on Shrek: Forever After and the Chris Sanders movie The Croods as well as a number of titles in developement including Monkeys of Mumbai and Puss in Boots 2. Leighton has been drawing and painting his whole life and started his career airbrushing t-shirts when he was 15. Since then he’s painted everything from motorcycles to murals and have participated in numerous fine art exhibits.

Yorie Kumalasari is a 3D Effects Artist who has worked at The Mill, a premiere visual effects studio, for over six years. Her background includes working as a 3D Generalist in areas such as Lighting, Rendering, Modeling and Texturing and she now specializes in Effects as well as supervising VFX on shoots.

William is a Sound Designer and Mixer for film, commercials, and television. He has worked on such projects as The Kings of Summer, You're the Worst, Mash Up, along with countless others. He brings his background of music to the craft of sound design and operates a post-production/recording studio in Silverlake.

PHILLIP BOUTTE JR. – Costume Designer
Phillip Boutte Jr. has a rich career as a Costume Illustrator and Designer spanning over a decade. He has worked on many of the biggest blockbusters of the last five years, illustrating and designing costume concepts for films such as Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness, The Hunger Games, Twilight, Man of Steel, Inception, and Captain America, along with countless others. He has worked on television’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as Madonna’s MDNA tour and Chris Brown’s Carpe Diem tour.

JOHANE MATTE – Storyboard Artist
Johane Matte is an Annie Award-winning Storyboard Artist, currently working at DreamWorks Animation. Her credits include How to Train Your Dragon and its sequel, as well as Rise of the Guardians, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Madagascar 3. Prior to her time at DreamWorks, Matte worked in story at Nickelodeon Animation Studio on Avatar, The Last Airbender and The Penguins of Madagascar. She has been a Senior Illustrator for video games as well as a Character Designer and Animation Assistant and illustrator of comic books.

An animator with over a decade of experience, currently a Head of Animation at DreamWorks Animation. He has worked on such films as Curious George, Nocturna, Kung Fu Panda, The Illusionist, Shrek Forever After, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Rise of the Guardians.

STAN SEO – Lead 3D Designer
Stan is a Visual Development Artist and 3D Designer at DreamWorks Animation, working on films such as Rise of the Guardians and Megamind. Prior to his time at DreamWorks, Stan has worked as a Digital Artist on countless features, such as Sin City, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Transformers, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

KEIKO MURAYAMA – Concept Artist
Hailing from Japan, Keiko Murayama is a Visual Development Artist, Character Designer and Illustrator. She has worked for some of the top companies in animation, including DreamWorks and Nickelodeon as well as for Disney Publishing. Keiko's credits include Character Designer for Breadwinners and Background Painter on The Fairly Odd Parents. She is currently working on Mr. Peabody and Sherman for DreamWorks Television as a Character Designer.

Fabio is a compositor and motion graphics artist based in Los Angeles. He has over 8 years of experience working for different studios in California including Shilo, The Mill, Big Star & Laundry!.

ANDRY JONG – Technical Director
Andry Jong is a Generalist Technical Director and CG R&D Programmer based in Los Angeles, California. Currently working at The Mill, Los Angeles - backed by his Master degree in Visual Effects as well as Bachelor degree in Computer Science, this classically trained, part-time musician is specialized in creating tools and plug-ins for high-end CG software (including, but not limited to, Maya, Nuke, RV, Hiero and Houdini), as well as creating, extending and managing proprietary software.

Phill Mayer is a 3D artist currently working for The Mill in Los Angeles. His specialty is phenomena such as fire, smoke, water, explosions, and particles. Phill's previous experience also includes post production facilities: Gradient Effects, Digital Kitchen, and Ringside Creative. He studied Visual Effects at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Meng Yang Lu is a Lead CG artist with over 10 years of experience across films, game cinematics, and commercials. He has worked for Paramount, Nickelodeon, and Sony Computer Entertainment. His most recent role was serving as a CG Lead at the Mill LA where he worked for over seven years before moving on to become an independent VFX Supervisor.
